A FREAK Leads the Pack!

Patrick Feal (Pat) recently competed in the 2009 Enduro National Championships and placed an impressive 2nd overall out of 31 riders in the Vet Pro +40 Class! This type of motorcycle racing is based on an international format and is new to Canada. Although competitors from across Canada participated, Patrick was the only Manitoba entrant.

The newly expanded eight race championship series includes two races each in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario. Each day of competition in the series is scored individually. The accumulated scores determine class, as well as overall standing.

Pro Class riders like Pat must maintain excellent body condition and focus – racing for 6 hours a day is physically and mentally gruelling! Pat was not as tired as his fellow competitors on the second day of racing and this enabled him to move up in standing as others dropped off.

Congratulations to Pat on his outstanding performance!
